Audioboom boss outlines goals for 2016

Robert Proctor, chief executive of AudioBoom, the audio software company for the spoken word, told investors at the TechCapital conference that 600 million listens were forecast on the company’s app and website in 2016. Launched in 2013, AudioBoom already has more than 5 million users and has partnered with global organisations such as News Corp, Al-Jazeera and the BBC to deliver quality audio content. Proctor told the audience that audio is enjoying something of a renaissance, with AudioBoom looking to take advantage of this and become the YouTube or Twitter of radio.
