Liberty Star (OTCQB:LBSR) has announced changes to its leadership team to advance the Red Rock Canyon and Hay Mountain projects in Arizona.
The company has appointed Steve Rivera to oversee geological management for the exploration projects.
A geologist, Rivera has recent experience working on exploration-stage gold projects in Arizona.
Rivera also brings experience from major mining companies like Freeport McMoran, BHP Billiton, and Anglo-American Exploration, along with expertise in geological data collection, deep drilling, and exploration activities such as airborne geophysical surveys and geochemical sampling.
Further, the company has promoted Jay Crawford to vice president of field operations.
Crawford has been with Liberty Star since 2006. He has served as field manager since 2011 overseeing the acquisition and maintenance of state and federal claims and permits.
Liberty Star said Crawford played a key role in maintaining claims and permits while contributing to the discovery of high-value gold mineralization at Red Rock Canyon.
The company also expressed its appreciation for outgoing chief geologist Jim Bryce, who played a significant role in past drilling efforts and the discovery of bonanza-grade gold at Red Rock Canyon.
