Europa Oil & Gas (Holdings) Plc - Europa Oil & Gas names major shareholder as new chair

Europa Oil & Gas (Holdings) Plc (AIM:EOG) has announced changes to its board, with Bo Krøll replacing Brian O'Cathain as non-executive director.

“I am delighted to welcome Bo's appointment as chairman of the board,” chief executive William Holland said in a statement.

“He brings substantial and relevant corporate experience of successfully growing companies along with first class technical and commercial expertise.

“Bo has demonstrated his commitment to the success of Europa through his continued investment in the company and is now our largest shareholder.”

Holland added: “I have very much enjoyed working with Brian over these last years and thank him for the substantial contribution he has made to Europa during this time and the considered guidance he has provided as chairman.

“I am confident that he will continue to be one of Europa's active supporters.”

Bo Krøll, meanwhile, added: "These are exciting times for Europa and I'm pleased to be taking over as chairman at what could be a pivotal time for the business.

“I look forward to working with the management team and the Board as we continue to build the business.”

Krøll previously joined the board in December.
