Brazilian Critical Minerals Ltd (ASX:BCM) Andrew Reid joins Proactive’s Elisha Newell to announce a 1-billion-tonne-plus rare earth resource at the company’s Ema project in mining-friendly Brazil. The maiden inferred resource comes in at 793ppm total rare earth oxides (TREO), including a higher-grade 331-million-tonne portion weighing in at 977ppm TREO.

While it’s still early days, the resource has global significance - Ema now ranks as one of the largest-tonnage, fully ionic clay rare earth deposits in the world. Looking ahead, Reid says the BCM team is preparing a drilling program to convert the resource into the higher-confidence and measured categories.
