ClearVue Technologies Ltd - ClearVue Technologies welcomes prominent façade and glazing experience to the board

Gerd Hoenicke and Charles Mowrey have joined the board at smart building materials firm ClearVue Technologies Ltd (ASX:CPV, OTCQB:CVUEF), brining extensive façade and glazing experience to the company’s executive suite.

The industry leaders have taken up non-executive directorships and will advise on glazing and façade initiatives in pivotal markets like Europe and the US.

ClearVue’s latest appointments form part of its board renewal strategy, designed to help it deliver on its corporate governance goals and expand the depth and breadth of its director skillsets.

A passion for industry innovation

Commenting on the new recruits, ClearVue non-executive chairman Victor Rosenberg said Hoenicke and Mowrey’s global experience will prove invaluable as the company navigates key markets.

“Both directors are passionate about innovation in their industry and understand the importance of maintaining that focus on innovation as we grow,” he stated.

“They both understand the significant role that the ClearVue product can play in construction decarbonization and sustainable building design.

“We look forward to working with Chuck and Gerd as we start to scale our commercial engagement and team over the next 12 months.”

Gerd Hoenicke

Gerd Hoenicke is a recognised industry leader in façades and curtain wall systems. He’s best described as a senior level executive with more than 35 years of experience in the international façade industry.

In the past, he’s taken on myriad leadership roles, serving as a CEO, technical director and independent consultant in businesses across the US and Europe.

Hoenicke’s portfolio includes the German Chancellery building in Berlin, Central St. Giles in London, EZB in Frankfurt, the Kimbell Art Museum in Dallas, 5 Broadgate in London and The Broad Museum in Los Angeles.

ClearVue says these projects reflect his attention to detail in façade design and innovation.

In 2019, Hoenicke established his own façade consultancy business, where he has continued to be involved in various prestigious projects in the US and the UK, including recently Parcel 9 in Washington DC and Landmark Pinnacle London.

Charles ‘Chuck’ Mowrey

Charles Mowrey brings more than five decades of commercial glass and glazing experience to the ClearVue team.

Like Hoenicke, his leadership resume is extensive, as demonstrated most recently by his CEO posting at leading US glazier 8G Solutions.

Mowrey also served as president and CEO at Harmon Inc., where he saw revenue jump from US$87 to US$300 million and championed several acquisitions and internal start-ups.

After 22 years with Harmon, he spent roughly three years with American glassmaker View Inc as executive vice president.

Mowrey spent the next eight years with Guardian Glass, part of major US conglomerate Koch Industries, and served as managing director of emerging technologies.

Later, he was brought over to 8G to lead the company through a pivotal growth phase.
